Goodbye March. You flew by so quickly.
April is looking to be an exciting month. I am seeing my major love Bob Dylan and the busiest man in rock and roll is coming over for an easter ft. bob visit. YAY!

Make It Or Break It. My favourite soap has returned and it did not disappoint. Perhaps one of the most genius satires of this era in gymnastics dramas, the premier of the new season appeared to be shot in the style of "The Room", with acting that only single takes could produce. One can only imagine how fantastic the rest of this season is going to be after this.

Anyone who hangs out with me regually, or has access to my facebook, would know that I have been someone obsessed with reality tv show Toddlers and Tiaras. I started watching it, because basically ill watch any trash, especially trash covered with rhinestones. It is addictive. Sadly I have learnt how the competition is judged. Super star, Eden Wood (above), tends to win every crown imaginable.
The children involved in pagaents really enjoy the process of competition.
It is totally normal to paint your children.
The moms are totally sane.
Wish my mum had put me in child pageants. Think of all those life skills I missed out on. Smiling etc.

I am finally in Melbourne. Currently living in a hotel above a bar, amongst all the craziness that is China Town. There is a man playing the synthesiser outside my window, and all I can smell is delicious dumplings. The wind is cold, and I find it strange to wear a coat in March. Strange yet enjoyable. It feels nice to walk down the street and not know anyone again. Back to being a complete unknown.

This past weekend, the busiest man in rock and roll and I went on and Island Adventure. I had never been to Rottnest Island, despite having lived in Perth my entire life, and it only being 30 mins from Fremantle Port, so, we decided that with my impending move, now was a good time to go.
I had no idea what to expect from the island. The first place we visited was the bar, which seemed fitting. Drinking ciders under the shade, watching work men construct barriers for the next day, when thousands of sporty athletic types would be swimming over from the mainland (yes. swimming). The first day continued in a similar manner. It is socially acceptable, if not preferred to be drunk and just wearing bathers.... I caved into societies demands.
Day two was a lot more sober and adventuring. Having to be out of our accommodation at 9am (yes! 9am.. outrageous) we swam, had breakfast, then hired bikes. I am a fan of bikes. I enjoy cycling on Chloe's pink pushie around Highgate. This was not the same type of bike trip. More in a manner of training for the Tour de France, we cycled up mountains and down valleys, on my childrens fixed gear. Turns out I'm too small for an adult sized bike.
After the brutal 10km journey, it was time for a fish and salad treat. By this time, the pub was packed with the athletic swimmers, so we dined at Aristos Waterfront. The food was delish. The price was not. $38 for a fillet of fish and a salad garnish. Outraged. A side salad being $12 extra. It annoys me when restaurants do not encourage the eating of salad via reasonable pricing.
"Why do all these swimmers have a medal? I deserve a medal. I rode a bike, swam and walked, practically completed a triathlon!"

Today is officially Autumn. Although, it wont actually be anything like Autumn in Perth for at least another 6 weeks, Summer is officially over. Woop!
I wish we got proper Autumn like the rest of the world. Leaves you can actually see falling off trees, people roasting nuts on the side of the road, its quite amazing. Get more seasons Perth!!!
Also, in two weeks, I will be in Melbourne.
